Hosting various cultural festivals for Greeks, Italians, and Jamaicans over the years, Santa Barbara residents have established their love for cultural feasts in the warm of summer. Why not? Those types of events are often delicious, educational, and healthy for communities. In 1988, a local Francophile named Steve Hogerman got on board and started the French Festival. Bringing together food from local restaurants, French musicians, and French artists of all kinds, this has become one of the area’s largest cultural festivals in its 30 years.
