The Chamber Orchestra of Santa Barbara kicks off on November 1. Celebrating 34 years this year, this season promises exciting performances, galas and more.
If you are going to see The Chamber Orchestra, we recommend partaking in their supper club tradition, one of the most unique aspects of the Chamber Orchestra of Santa Barbara. This buffet-style dinner event occurs 1.5 hours before the start of the concert and is a great way to connect with your friends and family before the start of a concert and meet other friends of the Chamber Orchestra of Santa Barbara. To make reservations please call the Santa Barbara Chamber office (805-966-2441).
One of the major events of this orchestra season is the Tapas and Tango Pre-Concert Gala on November 1 on the Plaza of the Lobero Theater. At this event, enjoy featured entertainment by tango Dancers Sandor and Parissa from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
On Tuesday December 16, get into the holiday spirit at the Brandenurg Marathon Holiday Season Celebration at 7:30 p.m. at the Lobero Theatre (33 E Canon Perdido St). Enjoy J.S. Bach concertos 1-6 with acclaimed conductor Heiichiro Ohyama.
For a different kind of Valentine’s Day, take your sweetheart to the French Romance Piano Quartet Valentine’s Day Celebration. Enjoy the SBCO Chambre Players as they play Gabriel Faure’s Piano Quartet in C Minor and Mozart’s Piano Quartet No. 2 in E. Flat.
You can even celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with the Chamber Orchestra, as they celebrate the music of the British Isles at the Lobero Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy Handel’s Water Music & Music for the Royal Fireworks followed by a “Bit O the Blarney” craft beer tasting after the performance.
