The Community Environmental Council will host the 49th annual Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival this April. The theme of this year’s event is to, “Educate, Inspire, and Act.” Considering the climate of the world, and the struggle for environmentalists to get the greater population of this country and the world to go green, the theme of the event feels spot on. This is the longest-running public Earth Day celebration in the United States, and among the biggest in California. There will be talks, environmental programs spreading their messages, local foods, beer, wine, and exhibitors.
