The Bike MS Coastal Challenge: Santa Monica to Santa Barbara is a 2 day ride to support the National MS Society. The bike ride (a 2 day affair) is from October 11-12. The registration fee is $70 and all of the proceeds to the National MS Society so you’re definitely biking for a great cause.
Participating riders have the option of going on 3 different routes. The 30 mile route starts and ends their journey at the beautiful San Buenaventura State Beach in Ventura. The 65 and 100 mile riders start their biking journey at the Civic Center in Santa Monica. All riders end at the same location where they can enjoy an evening of fun, food , music and getting to know the other participants.
Day two kicks off with breakfast followed by a route of either 35 or 50 miles. This leg of the ride travels up the central coast.
The schedule of events is jam packed with activities that kick off at noon on Saturday. Enjoy a beer and wine garden, live music and fun contests.
Once you arrive in Santa Barbara there are a number of bike shops where you can have your bike checked if need be! We love Open Air Bicycles (1303 State St.) and Fastrack Bicycles (118 W. Canon Perdido St.)
Santa Barbara is the perfect end destination for a bike ride with plenty of ways to relax. Grab a seat by our pool and unwind from your bike ride poolside. Still feeling active?
