Join Californians in one of their favorite annual traditions at the 2015 Coastal Cleanup Day. Every year on the third Saturday of September, people flock to all parts of California’s long coastline and take part in a daylong effort to beautify the beaches. Past efforts have yielded upwards of a million pounds of trash and recyclables from across the state. Part of the larger International Coastal Cleanup organized by the Ocean Conservancy, it’s a remarkable opportunity to meet locals, hit the beach and truly make a difference.
Help out for this one special day, and learn more about the California Coastal Cleanup at the event website here.
