June 15, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Father’s Day at the Santa Barbara Zoo

This Father’s Day, celebrate dad by treating him to a very special Father’s Day at the Santa Barbara Zoo. From
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, Dads will receive a special Father’s Day button at the famous zoo. The entire family will enjoy zookeeper talks about animal fathers in the wild, a meet-and-greet with Duncan the dinosaur, and a special $5 barbecue lunch featuring tri-tip sandwiches, chicken, or bratwurst.

The Santa Barbara Zoo is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Santa Barbara and considered to be one of the best small zoos in the country. It’s located on 30 spacious acres and is home to more than 600 animals and numerous exhibits. One of the zoo’s most famous residents is Gemina, a giraffe with a crooked neck. In addition to their Father’s Day celebration, the Santa Barbara Zoo has exciting programs for the whole family. Here are a few of our favorites:
