They’re fun, big name and at the pinnacle of an evolutionary showcase of talent and personality. Foster the People will take their Fall 2014 tour to Santa Barbara on November 15th wrapping up an extravagant journey across the United States. Set to play at the Santa Barbara Bowl, the hit indie pop band will have the venues picturesque setting for an atmospherically lovely tour finale.
A few years after their major breakout hit single, Pumped Up Kicks, most of us still have the whistley, harmonized chorus stuck somewhere in our heads. The band has kept working and since released several more hits, some of which are on their most recent album— Supermodel. The collection of music lives inside the Foster sound as it has already been established. While the band hasn’t changed much, their sound has evolved to the point where each track has its own journey and emotional crescendo.
With the acclaim and praise for Supermodel, the group has been sharing their sound with live crowds in recent months. The word is, they put on a great show. Packing venues from New York City to Miami to Los Angeles, this is definitely a top tier show. A band that constantly surrounds themselves by good artwork and interesting people, the crowds they tend to draw are energetic, hip and fun. The main ingredients in a good show are good music, an enjoyable crowd and a solid venue.
You couldn’t ask for a better place to see Foster the People than the Santa Barbara Bowl. High up on one of Santa Barbara’s many ocean view hills, the Bowl is an amphitheatre style venue where a combination of old-school structure and high altitude scenery truly makes it a magical place to listen to some music. Keeping all of this in mind, it’s also Foster the People’s last show of the tour, so they’re likely to leave everything out on the stage on November 15th!
