For family friendly fun, the Goleta Library (500 n. Fairview Avenue, Goleta) is hosting a Halloween kids Craft Party at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday October 25. Enjoy a fun afternoon of arts and crafts, perfect for kids ages 5-12, and materials will be provided. ‘Howls and Owls’ on Thursday October 30 at 6:00 p.m. is an annual event at the Santa Barbara museum of Natural history (2559 Puesta Del Sol, Santa Barbara). At this event, attendees explore the museum and solve fun Halloween themed mysteries at the same time. For a different trick or treat option, head to the Calle Real Shopping Center (5660 Calle Real, Goleta) on Friday October 31 at 3:00 p.m. Over 50 stores will be giving away candy and the stores will be decorated for Halloween as well.
For those looking for a more adult Halloween in Santa Barbara, head to Sandbar’s Zombie Apocalypse at Sandbar Mexican Restaurant & Tequila bar (514 State Street). Be sure to don your best costume as they are giving away over $1,000 in cash prizes. You’ll also want to stick around of the best Thriller Dance and best Zombie Costume competition as well! The “Black Cat Ball Halloween Party for Grownups” is taking place at the Butler Event Center (3744 State Street, Santa Barbara) Friday October 31 at 7:30 p.m. For a livelier Halloween celebration, head to Isla Vista, it has gained quite a reputation as the go-to party destination for Halloween revelers.
