Every year, the Santa Barbara Athletic Association organizes the New Year’s Resolution Run, an event for people to get the new year off on the right foot. The Resolution Run is an oceanside race where runners and walkers can meet at breezy Leadbetter Beach for either a 5K or 10K walk/run. Beginning early in the morning, the race is a great way to work out all of the booze from New Year’s Eve and set a strong precedent for staying fit and active in 2016. Those who are feeling extra brave can even take part in the post run Polar Plunge into the nippy Pacific.
For times and registration details for this year’s New Year’s Resolution Day Run, keep an eye on the Santa Barbara Athletic Association calendar here. For more information on last year’s run, check out this piece on Active.com.
