The city’s 2nd Annual Santa Barbara Food & Wine Weekend is coming up this April, and the extensive, four-day event will celebrate some of the city’s most beloved and food and beverage programs. With four straight days of events, the weekend will bring educational gatherings, upscale wine tastings, dinners and more to the lovely city of Santa Barbara.
The gathering will kick off on Thursday, April 16th with a pop up art display, and an off-site dinner excursion at one of Santa Barbara’s favorite restaurants, The Lark. The family-style, four-course meal will feature local produce and Figueroa Mountain Brewery’s new craft beer, Liquamentum. Excursions to Santa Ynez wine estates,a tour of Julia Child’s kitchen, educational wine seminars,and other events will lead up to Sunday’s closing event, the Neighborhood Tasting & Market: a citywide shopping and eating extravaganza.
Benefits from the Santa Barbara Food & Wine Weekend will go to support the Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts. This non-profit is committed to maintaining the honor and prestige of legendary chef, Julia Child, and supports research and education for professional culinary training and other gastronomical events.
