Santa Barbara’s most vibrant and eccentric city festival, the Summer Solstice Celebration is an annual festival celebrating the longest day of the year. This year, the fun takes place over the course of three days, from June 22 to June 24, when thousands of artists and spectators will gather in Santa Barbara in an array of creative presentations for the 44th annual Solstice Parade.
Aside from the parade, the three-day festival itself includes arts and crafts boutiques, workshops, and other artistic events, all hosted in Alameda Park close to Hotel Milo. Sample food provided by local restaurants, and kick back to live music—perhaps even join the all-inclusive drum circle in the park. Lastly, don’t forget to bring the kids; storytellers and mimes in the children’s area will keep them entertained all afternoon long.
All those who desire can register to be a part of the Summer Solstice Celebration. With an annual crowd exceeding 100,000, it’s certainly the most memorable way to kick off the official start of summer in Santa Barbara!
Book here to stay with Hotel Milo this June in time for the Summer Solstice. For more information on Summer Solstice Festival, check out the event website here.
